Some types of fashion merchandise change more rapidly than other types. There are even fashion historians that have tracked the basic shapes of apparel, and concluded that there are basic silhouettes that dominate apparel and in turn, last for a cycle at least years. But change is on the horizon! As you well know, fashion focuses on different parts of the body. For new fashion entrepreneur's, success depends upon the accuracy of predictions of technology and trends and judging when and what degree an item consumers will adopt.

Fashion and the materials from which they are made are inseparable. Let's take men's underwear for instance. If so, then you are responding to the fabric and not the style. Today, most men are interested in feeling less restricted and lighter in weight.

A brand must then consider the various weights of material currently desired as well as the cost factors. So important is the material or fabric of men's underwear that it lead two entrepreneurs to select materials considered appropriate and desirable for their target audience while stimulating their ideas to begin a new inspiration to this billion dollar market segmentation.

In fact, the production of fiber and fabric has grown to such importance in the men's underwear arena that the primary suppliers and makers of trimmings have reached newly founded celebrity status within the fashion business. Each style is offered in a boxer brief and brief. The founders started their journey in when they realized how impossible it was to find a pair of underwear that worked with you, not against you.

So they set out to develop and create the ultimate pair of underwear, fit for the modern man and his modern lifestyle. Allan and Roy are both Swiss-natives.

Allan grew up in Gumefens, in the French-speaking part, and Roy close to Zurich in the German-speaking part. A mutual friend connected us and this is when the journey began in mid Every pair we tried was either hot, restricting or would ride up. We decided to take matters into our own hands, creating the perfect pair of briefs. Bringing together a community of men from across the globe using social media, we collaboratively created the first pair of underwear.

We would ask our community questions about fit, fabric, issues they have with their current underwear and hundreds of other questions.

Today our community of men is over , strong. Prior to that he gained experience in Venture Acceleration and Primary Research. Roy studied Economics at University College London. Men for men have developed our body wear brand with sustainability and collaboration at the heart. This first and foremost means that our underwear range is one of the most comfortable and sustainable on the market. All our products are made from bamboo and our newly developed bamboo-birch fabrics.

We strive to ensure that we are creating garments that look and feel great but also does not harm the health of our planet. Thanks to the early feedback we get through co-creation and pre-orders, we developed demand-based production: we only produce product if we see the demand, minimizing waste. In addition, we are an inclusive and community-driven brand, having developed a close relationship with all our customers.

We invite our community to contribute. We listen to what they want and we execute based on their feedback. This is where our customers connect and engage with us most successfully.

We believe Millennials and Gen Z customers are looking for a brand that drives experiences and delivers content, not one that targets them with advertising. Traditional online performance marketing being a part, we believe this organic, direct and personal engagement is a more sustainable and genuine way to build our customer base. To make them truly invested in and a part of the brand. We run an open forum with thousands of men from more than countries.

This is a forum for community members to talk about a range of topics, from underwear to career choices, the latest grooming tips and mental health. That said; we constantly test new marketing channels to reach Millenials and Gen Z.

One that we are monitoring closely is the social media app TikTok. In the mid- to long-term, we believe an Omni channel sales and marketing approach could be successful. We recently launched a TV spot in Europe, paired with an online marketing campaign, to target customers in both channels. Men want to look good, they want to feel physically comfortable during sporting activities and with the attention so firmly on environmental concerns, they want to feel good about what they wear because they know that the clothes minimize negative impact on the environment.

JD: Talk to Forbes in detail about the current collection and why it is important for men to be aware of this brand? These men provided their input at the development stage of each design. The result is a range of fully ergonomic underpants, with a pouch that fits well and keeps you comfortable whether in your day-to-day or during sports.

Bamboo is super soft, extremely breathable, moisture wicking, and reduces bacteria growth, which reduces bad odors. We found, for example, that many men have issues with conventional pouch cuts - they are too flat! Another key finding we had was that all men dislike care labels at the back. Tags are itchy and prints wash out. But they are compulsory.

We developed a special label fabric that is easily tearable, leaving no marks after removal. JD: If you could choose one celebrity to wear your brand, who would it be and why?

We feel this is entirely in line with our personal and brand values. JD: Talk to Forbes about how technology-aided you in the development of your brand both product make-up and e-commerce? We decided to use this technology to cultivate an inclusive community and this really is the backbone of our brand. We used this technology — social media and a smartphone in every pocket — to connect with thousands of men around the world.

We then identified the issue that men were facing and then used the same tools to develop a design solution. Co-creating the products and borderless communication with people from around the world was entirely enabled by technology.

We are now taking this one step further and developing a radically new, proprietary tool that allows men to co-create new solutions, exchange ideas and solve challenges within the fashion industry. The tool is currently in development stage and we are looking to launch the Beta version soon. Technology has also enabled us to grow sales in a distributed, co-creational way.

We invested in technology with which we can now onboard any reseller instantly. This can be a large wholesaler, a boutique or an individual person. We only need an email address. They can then offer our products to their customers, getting a very interesting margin without any minimum order quantities - the orders are processed automatically through our fulfillment system and shipped to the reseller or directly to the customer. Firstly, we see ourselves as the enablers of the wishes of our community.

This means offering a 7-star customer experience, an engaging way to strike conversation and help each other to become a better self. Our customers have and always will be our priority. We offer days delivery anywhere in the USA and days anywhere in the world, and continue to do site checks for any bugs to modify as they appear. Many brands ship raw materials across the globe before starting the manufacturing process, which seems like a waste to us.

We have personally visited all of our suppliers as well as their suppliers so we know exactly where our materials come from and that the working conditions are at the highest standard. Many of their employees have been with the company for decades too - the Manufacturing Head, for example, has worked her way up from being a seamstress to overseeing all production!

Many in the textile and garment industry have moved their manufacturing to countries in Africa or other parts of Asia, such as Bangladesh or Cambodia, due to the lower labor costs. Instead, we decided to have our products produced in China, which has now become a premium manufacturing location.

Rising wages and higher infrastructure costs as well as improvements in the workplace and high-tech upgrades have significantly increased quality over the past 15 years. JD: You have the floor: Talk to my viewers about why they should try this brand now? Yes, all our products are very comfy. Thanks to the qualities of the premium bamboo used in our undergarments, our products are also extremely breathable, lead to less bad odors, have hypoallergenic features and are moisture wicking.

All our community members engage with each other and make new connections, sharing the following mindset:. We think the brands of the future are about solving problems and taking a collaborative approach so we create our products from the ground-up, not the top down. We ask our customers what they are looking for, and we produce a garment that fits the bill.

JD: What are your future projections and growth strategy for the next few years? Within the space of 12 months, we have sold our products to over 70, customers in countries and have impacted over , lives through the products, communication, sustainable manufacturing and supply chain. We plan to have impacted well over 1 million lives by the end of and 10 million lives by We see our positive impact on the planet as a key aspect and driver of our business and are looking to take this further through new product innovation.

We plan on developing and co-creating several new product lines with our community, with the next product release planned for October We are also currently in development of our proprietary tool to help propel our vision for co-creation within the fashion industry.

As a business, we believe in an Omni channel approach. We are growing online through our own channels, such as our web shop. We have the products, logistics set-up and team in place to also enter the brick-and-mortar space sometime soon where we see a good opportunity to grow.

Have you ever purchased underwear simply because you loved the feel of the material? It was from this realization that we moved from us designing the perfect pair of underwear to collaboration where everyone who wanted to participate would help create the perfect underwear.

To our knowledge, this is a first in the world when it comes to underwear! With the feedback we received, we were able to create an innovative product that has resulted in the perfect underwear for men of all shapes and sizes. Each pair looks as good as it feels! Details, please.

We oversee the customer experience, ensuring our customers are receiving timely responses to any inquiries they may have, as well as responding to feedback on upcoming or current products.
